Zulu Pot #2

Each Zulu pot is handcrafted using a coiling technique where cylindrical shapes of clay are gradually placed in a spring formation to build up the body of a vessel. The pots are then adorned with a design individual to each potter. They are then fire-cured, a process that requires no kiln. Instead, the pots are grouped together, surrounded by tinder and set alight.
